Introduction to Navigation
Join us for a one day Introduction to Navigation course, and learn how to use a map and compass to explore the UK. Our course is located in the stunning Marlborough Downs and features a low participant to instructor ratio, ensuring you receive the personalized attention you need. By the end of the course, you'll become a confident and competent map and compass navigator, ready to explore the great outdoors with ease.

This is an outdoor course, so please dress appropriately for the day. We will issue a suggested kit list to all participants prior to the course date.

Our Introduction to Navigation course is designed to provide you with the knowledge you need to navigate the great outdoors with ease. You'll learn how to use 1:25000 OS maps, grid references, romer scales, and other key navigation features. Our expert instructors will also teach you about handrailing, rights of way, and how to use route cards, pacing cards, and a compass to set the map and orient yourself.
